Mick Moore: the Internet Entrepreneur

Hey guys, Aki here!

So we’re at the end of Mick Moore’s journey from Rock Star in Hollywood to the Internet Entrepreneur he is today!

But a final, few words.

After Mick perfected his Home Business Success Kit with Gregory Scott Reid, he opened a new website just for it, and started to share his knowledge about the Internet to other aspiring entrepreneurs.

He still runs his Killergraffix company, runs his Home Business Success Kit website, and manages his Quick Start Expert website!

Now, at Quick Start Expert, he basically teaches people how to start their own home-based business, make it grow to the point where it brings in a substantial income, and even find personal freedom that he enjoys everyday!

He uses the lessons he learned during his journey to formulate a plan that will mold to another person’s liking. That’s impressive to say the least.

Mick has one key theme that runs through most of his lessons:

Work smart.

It seems like such a simple concept, but it’s hard to grasp for most of us who work long hours in a cubicle to earn our monthly salary.

But look at it this way: it means that ANYONE can do it.

I know you’ve all heard of the saying “if someone else can do it, you can too”. Well, that’s true for Internet Entrepreneurship too.

If you just follow your passions and dreams, and spend time each day taking action towards your goals, incredible opportunities will come to you. And then it’s your job to take those opportunities, and make them into your dreams and aspirations.

As Mick put it, “Once you start applying positive changes in attitude and associations with others, you will notice an immediate change in your life, and those around you. By helping others find their passion and achieve success in their lives you achieve success in yours.”

“Mick Moore: from Rock Star to Internet Entrepreneur”

THE END

Well, hope you guys enjoyed my series on Mick Moore! I will still be talking about the businesses he runs and the products he releases, but I will be blogging about something, or someone, different.

Stay tuned for much more to come! Cheers!

Mick Moore: One Final Step

Hey guys, Aki here!

So, have you guys ever heard of the saying “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”? Well, the phrase literally means what the words say.

Mick worked for 5 years with his Killergraffix, but he began to be disenchanted by his new passion too.

Don’t get me wrong, he was still passionate about his new life and passion for the Internet. However, he felt he was still missing something.

He wanted to work less, earn more, and, most of all, help others gain the kind of personal freedom he was enjoying at the time.

So, he started on a “How to” book on the Internet called the Home Business Success Kit. It was his little “venture” that would take him farther and farther into Internet Entrepreneurship.

While he was preparing, he met Gregory Scott Reid, his mentor and friend. Not only did he help Mick set a direction for this product, but also gave him friendship and advice to help mature the product into something great.

And then, once again, Mick changed his life.

Well, that’s all for today! Hope you guys enjoyed it!

Stay tuned for more!

See you all later!

Mick Moore: A New Life

Hey guys, Aki here!

Have you ever seen those cheesy movies about “success stories”?

Well, the stories that we see are almost magical; they’re almost unreal. And the movie producers exaggerate some parts of the story.

But what do you think about Mick’s life story so far: his journey from Hollywood heavy-metal rock star to successful Internet Entrepreneur?

Well, let me tell you, everything is completely true; all of the facts, the dips, the Hollywood scene, Mick’s opporunities. They’re all true.

And now that Mick found his new passion, he also found a new life: a life of personal freedom.

When you become an Internet Entrepreneur, passion and wealth aren’t the only things you grasp.

You also gain personal freedom.

It’s the kind of freedom that gives you the time to do what you want, whenever you want.

Mick can go out to surf or go sailing during the day(any day of the week), and he can come back and finish the remainder of the work of the day.

It’s the kind of freedom all of us strive for.

And best of all, he earned a great salary while doing what he wanted, whenever he wanted.

Work days were no longer work days; everyday can be like a Saturday, when you have time to relax, do some of the things you want that you usually can’t do during the weekdays, and have plenty of sleep.

And all of this relaxation added even more to his passion and Killergraffix company: new found inspiration in the relaxation and things he did outside of his house.

However, this wasn’t the end of the journey for Mick; he still had one more important decision to make.

What is this decision? Well, I guess you’ll have to come back tomorrow to find out!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Cheers!

Mick Moore: New Freedom

Hey guys, Aki here!

Have any of you made lemonade, cookies, or some form of edible good with your friends during summer to sell on your street to make some money?

You know, the kind of cheesy thing you see in movies: little kids making fresh lemonade and cookies. Adults just can’t say no to those hardworking, cute little kids.

It’s fun right? You’re hanging out with your own friends, and making money at the same time!

Well, that’s a lot like what Mick Moore did after discovering the Internet and building websites.

Like a little kids’ food stand during summer, Mick started out making websites for anyone who hired him. He worked 16-18 hours everyday of the week, and he started earning a steady income off of building and selling website layouts.

And best of all, he loved every bit of his new creative job!

Before long, he was making much more money off of his side business than at his menial, dull work as an Art Director. And before long, another decision came around.

Do you see a pattern here? Like I said a few posts ago, we always face decisions. And there are always at least two we can choose from.

After discovering Mick’s new-found passion and wealth, his boss became anxious, and gave him two options:

  • Quit working on his side business and “reinstate his loyalty to the company”(wow, sounds like swearing loyalty to a king or something)
  • Not quit, and Mick will be “punished”

Now, those are some ridiculous choices. It’s a lose-lose from many of your perspectives.

But Mick saw it in another way.

Mick saw it as another opportunity, another potentially life-changing decision that would change his life for the better.

So, Mick told his boss, politely, that he would never quit his side business. He loved it.

And then so, the boss fired him.

Big deal right? He just lost a major source of income.

Terrible? Not even close!

As I told you, Mick saw this as a new, great opportunity. He took his new-found freedom to start his new Internet Business: Killergraffix with his wife.

Now, like he always does with something he’s passionate about, he worked his butt off. And that year, they earned a six-figure income just from that Internet Business. Just in that year.

Amazing what Mick can do when he finds a passion right?

From Rock-Star, to Art Director, to Internet Entrepreneur, Mick has always given his 100%. And it always paid off.

He always made decisions; he took action. He didn’t let the tides of society push him around; he pushed back at it with his own choices and what he wanted to do.

Well, that’s all for this post! Hope you guys enjoyed it!

More to come tomorrow! Tell me what you think about my blog!

Cheers!

Mick Moore: From Passion to Freedom

Hey guys, Aki here!

Let me start this post by asking you this question: why do you want to be an Internet Entrepreneur?

Well, here are a few reasons that I came up with:

  • you make money while you’re asleep
  • you don’t have to drive to work
  • you don’t have to go to a cubicle and get a light bulb tan
  • you don’t have to wake up at 6 in the morning, drink your morning coffee, and sleep-walk to your car
  • you have more time to do something else you’d like to do

That’s just a few of the things that came to mind. Though that’s coming from an 18-year old who’s never done any of those…

But do you see a common thread in all of those?

It’s the longing for personal freedom.

The menial jobs we go to everyday takes that away from us, and can break our passion and dreams for the future.

Some of your lives may be like this:

  • you get a job, excited for the contributions you can make to the company and to the world
  • you work from 9AM-5PM all week except for weekends
  • you get promoted
  • you work more, you have more responsibilities
  • you get tired of your job

Sounds like some of your lives right? It was how Mick’s life was after he graduated.

So, I told you guys he got a warning before he made his choice to go for personal freedom and passion.

From being over-worked and constantly being under pressure, his health took a big dip and he got a stomach ulcer. It was definitely time for change.

So Mick began to look for new skills he could acquire, and it was just the best time to do so.

Why? Because the Internet was starting to become one of the largest phenomena in the world.

So, with his strong background in graphics design, he taught himself how to make websites. He didn’t know this at the time, but he had found his new passion: the Internet.

This new passion will eventually take him to the Internet Entrepreneur he is today.

Anyways, that’s all for this post! Hope you guys and gals enjoyed it!

Mick Moore: The Fork in the Road

Hey guys, Aki here!

When you look back at your life(those of you who’ve lived a while, and those of you who’re just starting life, like me!), have you noticed that you’ve always had at least two choices?

Be it a huge, life-changing decision or a minor obstacle, we’ve always had a choice. All we needed was courage, passion, and the guts to make the choices we wanted, and the goals we strove for.

No matter how impossible things seem, or how devastating the situations are, we always have a choice to better ourselves and make people around us happy, as well as ourselves.

So that’s where Mick Moore is at, yet again: the fork in the road of his life.

As Mick worked with Maui and Son, and graduated with flying colors with a degree in Graphics Design, he landed another job as Art Director of a local San Diego logo company.

He was excited; I mean, who wouldn’t be? You get to work  with something you’re passionate about, and you get paid for it! What more could you want from a “job”?

So for the next five years, he worked diligently, applying new cutting-edge art techniques he discovered, only to realize that he was becoming a person he didn’t want to be:

The Working Dead.

Have you ever heard of that phrase? It’s basically talking about people who work countless hours a day for a salary, who, usually, start to get tired of their jobs. Are any of you like this?

Most of my friends’ parents I know are like that.

But the most important thing here is, the Working Dead don’t really have a passion for what they do anymore; they lost it.

Mick Moore started dreading going to work; the better he did, the more work he got. The better and more he did, the more money he got. But the pay raises never reflected the contributions Mick made to the company.

People say life’s unfair, and the situation Mick was in was definitely unfair; he was underappreciated, taken advantage of, and over-worked.

But he didn’t stop there like most people do. Most people, when they realize that something or someone is being unfair, don’t take action; they simply accept the fact that life is unfair, and they just live on with it.

And become more unhappy, and less appreciative about life.

But Mick wasn’t one of those; he’s the one who takes action when he sees another fork in the road. He doesn’t let his environment push him around; he’s the unmoving wall.

So, he had another choice: personal freedom and passion, or the salary he got from his job?

The choice he wants to make is quite obvious. But before he can make that, he gets a warning: his health.

Anyways, that’s all for this post! Hope you guys enjoyed it!

Come back tomorrow, and I’ll have another post up! Give me feedback via comments please!

See you all tomorrow!

Mick Moore: A New Passion

Hey guys, Aki here!

Before I start out with the gist of this post, have any of you considered a career as a web designer?

From what I know, you learn a lot about how to use many mainstream programs and codes such as:

  • Photoshop
  • HTML
  • Coral Media Editor

And those are just a few to start out with.

Graphics design, from my perspective, is a new form of modern art.

It’s like being an artist; you need:

  • technique. In this case, your way around on the computer
  • style; you need to have some sense of what others like
  • inspiration; in this case of graphics design, some of your clients’ needs and suggestions

Mick Moore went to school to learn all of this. And much, much more.

Graphics design became his new passion; he loved learning about it, and he loved doing things related to it.

When something becomes a passion, it’s no longer “work”; it’s something you can do anytime of the day, and do for an extended period of time.

While Mick studied, and eventually graduated and earned a degree in graphics design, he got a job at as a graphics designer at Maui and Sons surf wear. He loved his job there.

His life seemed to be progressing at an exponential rate; his life was now limitless, and constantly progressing.

Mick’s life seems good and seems like a “he lived happily ever after” situation right?

Well, like all things, came a problem: personal freedom.

But that’s for tomorrow. Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Stay tuned for much, much more to come!

Cheers! Happy Friday!

Mick Moore: The Turning Point

Hey guys, Aki here!

Out of curiosity, are any of you religious? There are so many different, great religions in this world today that they’re all fascinating to me.

How does this relate to this part of the story? Well, let me get on it then!

After Mick Moore retired from the music industry, he was, what most of us would now say, lost; music had been his passion, his life goal, and his life. It’s literally like losing something you love, or someone you love. Many of us know that feeling.

Mick was also penniless because he didn’t have an education past high school; he couldn’t get a job that paid enough to support his life, and most of all, he couldn’t find a job he loved doing.

Now-a-days, my parents(Asian parents, I should add) tell me that if you don’t have an education past high school, one of three things happen:

  • you go broke
  • you work at McDonald’s
  • you become a hobo

Now, obviously, that doesn’t happen to most people, but these three things are some of the things we fear the most: financial instability.

This is where Mick’s belief comes in. He once told me that if you need guidance, all you need is to ask your God. “You only need but to ask”, as some of us say.

Personally, I don’t believe in a God. But I do believe that if you truly wish for something, and if you really open your eyes and look around to see what there is in the world, that you will always find the thing you wish for.

I’m an optimist, I just can’t help it.

So anyways, now comes the meaning of the title of this post: the turning point.

This may seem unrealistic now, but bare with me.

Mick was looking for something he could love doing, something he could be passionate for that would take him to the next level, while still giving him the financial stability he wanted.

One day, while watching TV, he saw a commercial talking about a college that was offering Graphics Design degrees.

Mick loved drawing as a kid, and around that time, he also started becoming engulfed by the power and potential of the computer.

So, Mick did what he did best: follow what his heart said.

I know this is extremely cheesy, but it’s the truth; all he did was follow what his heart and mind was telling him.

When Mick registered for the graphics design courses, he took his first steps to becoming the Internet Entrepreneur he is today.

Anyways, that’s all for this post! Hope you guys enjoyed it. More to come tomorrow!

Cheers!

Mick Moore: Life as a Musician

Hey guys, Aki here!

Have any of you ever fantasized about a life as a musician in Hollywood? I know I have.

From what we watch on TV and read on the Internet, it seems like an awesome life: sing and perform what you want, make lots of money, meet a lot of famous celebrities, go to parties, etc.

But the truth is, life as a musician isn’t all that simple.

There’s the pressure to perform well, anxieties from possibility of failing, the usual celebrity temptations, and really long hours of work with little time to rest.

And, after the peak of their musical careers, half of the musicians and performers get this one, big mess: the career burn-out.

However, there’s one common thread that runs through all musicians and performers: passion and love for what they do.

And that’s what Mick had for rock music.

As you may now know, Mick Moore was the Lead guitarist in a popular heavy metal rock band in the 80′s called Suspicion.

He loved heavy metal music since he was in high school, and his dreams came true in the 80′s when his band took their first steps into what we now all know as Hollywood.

He played and performed countless hours of the music he loved; music was his life.

However, with so many vices that come with the celebrity status in Hollywood, it was hard to keep it going.

Eventually, Mick Moore hit the career burn-out, and he left his life as a musician.

Passion.

It’s something we constantly strive to find, and when we find it, we think it’s going to be our life-long passion.

But sometimes, things just don’t cut it, and the passion disappears once we are disillusioned by what happens behind the scenes.

Anyways, that’s all for today! Sorry for the somewhat depressing post!

More to come tomorrow!

Cheers!

A “Different” Beginning

Hey guys, Aki here!

Today, I’m going to start out with my first series of many to come: a series about Mick Moore, the Internet Entrepreneur.

But instead of starting at his birth, talking about his childhood, how he loves watching History Channel(I also do), I’m going to start at one specific point in his life, where I believe his life-changing events started to happen.

So, what comes to mind when you see Mick Moore in this picture?:

Mick Moore 1

Well the first thing should be, he’s a good-looking guy right?

Well, I meant other than that. What comes to mind?

He has his nice black dress shirt, he looks like a laid-back businessman. That’s the first thing that came to my mind.

But remember how I told you anyone can become an Internet Entrepreneur, no matter what their backgrounds are?

Well, let me break to you something that surprised me:

He used to be a rock star in a popular rock band in the 80’s called Suspicion in Hollywood.

This is no joke. I’m dead serious.

Still don’t believe me? Well then, take a look for yourself:

Mick Moore Rock Star

That’s Mick Moore right there. See the resemblance?

Though this may be taking the “passion” and “anyone can be an Internet Entrepreneur” to an extended point, he’s a great example of those two phrases.

He’s a man with a life all about passions. From one career to the other, he went all the way, with all his might.

And that’s exactly why I’m going to blog about him for this series of blog.

Anyways, that’s all for this post! More to come tomorrow and many days following!

Make sure to comment and subscribe!

See you all later!
